Fimmvörðuháls Fimmvörðuháls is a trek between Skógar and Fimmvörðuháls. It is indeed one of the most popular trek in Iceland by a good reason. It is very variegated. You’ll will be hiking past multiple waterfalls, in a snow between the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull, and following ridges with deep gorges on both sides - just to mention a few of its characteristic. The Fimmvörðuháls hike is about 20 km (12 mi) long with about 1000 m (3300 ft) elevation. You should take a good look at the weather forecast before heading onto it.
